'Holocaust - Is That Wallpaper Glue?' documentary screening
The Oshman Family JCC will hold a screening of the documentary "Holocaust - Is That Wallpaper Glue?" about two Russian twins who journeyed to Auschwitz after they defined "Holocaust" as "wallpaper paste" on a quiz show. There will also be a Q&A with director Mumin Shakirov. April 14, 7:30-9 p.m. $8 teen; $12 adult. Schultz Cultural Arts Hall, 3921 Fabian Way, Palo Alto.

'The Lure and the Legends'
There will be a screening of the original film "The Lure and the Legends," which includes interviews with 13 technology pioneers who discuss the story of Silicon Valley and why the computer revolution took place here. This event is held in conjunction with the Los Altos History Museum's "Silicon Valley: The Lure & the Legends" exhibit, which ends on April 19 and will be open before the event from 5:30 to 7 p.m. April 14,

DakhaBrakha
The Ukrainian folk-punk quartet DakhaBrakha will play a concert that combines traditional Ukrainian music with African grooves, Eastern colors and a modern attitude. At 6:30 p.m., Stanford professor Gabriella Safran will discuss the band's music in the context of the conflict in Ukraine. April 15, 7:30 p.m. $30-$60. Bing Concert Hall, 327 Lasuen St., Stanford.

Yom HaShoah V'HaGevurah: Remembrance of the Holocaust and Acts of Courage
This year's South Peninsula Yom HaShoah V'HaGevurah service will focus on the theme of "Liberation: The 70th Anniversary," exploring the time immediately following liberation and the complex responses of Holocaust survivors. The ceremony will include inter-generational song, music, prayer, readings, artwork and a speech by Consul General of Israel Dr. Andy David. April 15, 7-8:30 p.m. Free.
