Katherine Maxfield, author of "Starting Up Silicon Valley: How ROLM Became a Cultural Icon and Fortune 500 Company," will read from and sign her book. The event will include anecdotes and ideas from Silicon Valley leaders and the story of an influential company. July 31, 7-8:30 p.m. Free. For the final play in its 2014 Outdoor Summer "Hot Dog" Series, the Palo Alto Children's Theatre will put on a production called "Into the Woods, Junior."
