Film: Silicon Valley African Film Festival
The 2nd Annual Silicon Valley African Film Festival opens today, Oct. 14, and runs through Oct. 16 at the Community School of Music and Arts (CSMA) at Finn Center, 230 San Antonio Circle, Mountain View. Admission is $20 for a one-day pass; $30 for a two-day pass; $5 senior/student discount.
Theater: 'The Legend of Sleepy Hollow'
Peninsula Youth Theatre presents an adaptation of the classic story "The Legend of Sleepy Hollow," designed to get kids interested in reading, today, Oct. 14, and Oct. 15 at Mountain View Center for the Performing Arts, Second Stage, 500 Castro St., Mountain View. Admission is $10.

Event: 10th Annual Book Arts Jam
This one-day event, co-sponsored by Bay Area Book Artists and Foothill College, is a celebration of book arts, print arts and paper arts. This year will feature a gallery exhibit, slide show of artists works, more than 50 exhibitors, artists talks and silent auction Saturday, Oct. 15, from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. at Foothill College, 12345 S. Fundraiser: Harvest Craft Faire
